Movimento Fitness is locally recognized for our individualized fitness and nutrition coaching programs that provide accountability, tools and support at every step of the way to help members achieve their best results.

Unlike large format gyms and “one size fits all” fitness programs that leave you feeling lost, we focus on our members as individuals. Our coaches are highly trained fitness professionals who specialize in providing safe, proven, and effective training for all fitness levels in a private studio you’ll love to call home.

We are a local, family owned and operated St. Albert business! Since 2010 we have been proud to help St. Albert and Edmonton residents improve their fitness and fall in love with living a healthier lifestyle. I have changed countless lives through training over the last 10+ years! I have been featured on several radio shows/podcasts and co-authored the Best Selling Book Better, Faster, Stronger along with other experts in the Functional Training world. I opened the doors to Movimento Fitness in summer of 2010 under one core principle, a zero gimmicks approach. Keep it simple and effective! My background is in Human Performance and Athletic Development out of Florida USA, with a background in Rehab to name a few credentials. I'm known for having plenty (LOTS) of energy to go around, and for my love for personal training! My interests include being a fitness educator, working out, traveling and spending time with our beautiful 10-month-old daughter and baby boy (Borgi puppy) Derby!

I absolutely love coaching people to achieve their best! Physical activity was always part of my life growing up having danced competitively for 17 years. It was only through university, and in starting my career in the years that followed, that a lack of activity caught up with me and I learned the power that exercise and proper nutrition can have on all areas of your life. I have a degree in Visual Communication Design and Marketing from the U of A, I am certified a certified Sports and Exercise Nutrition Coach, and am passionate about small business entrepreneurship. Most of my work at Movimento Fitness is behind the scenes working with Juan and our fantastic team to continually strive to provide a great experience for all of our members. All of my spare time is spent with our 10 month old daughter and our Borgie (Border Collie - Corgie) Derby.

I joined the Movimento team in 2013 and bring passion and fun to the training floor every day! My love for fitness began at an early age through hockey and soccer, since then expanding to regularly playing squash, swimming, and most importantly, strength training. After graduating with my Degree in Political Science and History, I made a career change from commercial real estate to fitness training and haven't looked back since! My certifications include Personal Fitness Training Diploma, TRX Suspension Training, Functional Strength Coach Level 1, Precision Nutrition, and FMS Certification. In my spare time I enjoy watching all kinds of movies, reading science fiction, following the Edmonton Oilers, and spending time with my girlfriend Victoria plus our two cats, Gaston and Chappie.

My fitness journey began in 2008, when I had decided that enough was enough and wanted to get back into shape. I joined a clinic at The Running room and continued the adventure from there! I took Physical Education in Post Secondary, which sparked my thirst for knowledge, then went on to take my Personal Fitness Training at ELA to help drive my passion forward! I am ACE and CFSC certified, and am working on becoming certified in Precision Nutrition. In my downtime, I like to stay really active! I have done many obstacle races in the summer, am learning to play hockey, and love spending oodles of time with my dog, Falcor. My favourite song to belt out on the long drive to work (or on the training floor) is ‘Hooked on a Feeling’ by Blue Swede.

Originally from Medicine Hat, AB, I am proud to call Edmonton home for the past 18 months. Having struggled with weight and body imagine issues the majority of my teen years, I found my love for the gym at an early age. After going through some rough patches in my early 20's and subsequently gaining weight as a result, I found myself struggling to lose it. After many failed attempts I have finally found the right combination of nutrition and exercise and have lost over 25lbs and am still striving to achieve new goals. Fueled by the desire to help people who were also going down the same struggling route I did with weight loss, I decided to make the move to Edmonton to pursue a career as a personal trainer. I became part of the Movimento training team in February 2015 after graduating from ELA with my Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma. I have continued to expand my knowledge and obtained my ACE Certification as well as my Certificated Functional Strength Coach Certification. In my spare time I enjoy spending time exercising, snowboarding, watching hockey (Go Oilers) and playing with my fur-babies Emma, Capone and Lexi.

Specializing in corrective exercise, I am passionate about helping people with injuries or limitations continuously improve on their fitness journey! My certifications include ACE, CFSC, and a Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma from Elevated Learning Academy. When I am not training or studying, I enjoy spending my time playing volleyball, attending concerts, and trying new restaurants.

I joined the Movi team in January of 2017 after receiving a Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma from NAIT. My passion for fitness started early on in life. Growing up on the west coast I had the opportunity to take part in many different sports which taught me a lot of valuable lessons and fueled my interests in health and fitness. I have competed and still compete at a high level in many different sports which include soccer, track and field and basketball. Straight out of high school I decided to embark on an adventure in the Canadian Armed forces which lasted 20 years and taught me a lot about leadership, teamwork and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. I love working with clients and sharing my experience and knowledge with them to help them achieve their goals. My interests include Brazilian Ju-Jitzu, soccer, long walks and runs with my dog Carlito and hanging with my ladies Sarah, Mya and Lilyana.

My passion for health and fitness started at a very young age. I participated in many sports throughout childhood and found that team sports were my favorite, volleyball especially! I loved working with others to help them reach their goals, whether it be winning a gold medal together or helping each other perfect our skills by practicing hours and hours on end!Constantly being exposed to an active lifestyle sparked my desire for learning as much as I could about the human body and achieving a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology as well as a Sports Nutrition Certification. I figured that if I could apply this knowledge to myself, I could definitely help others reach their goals too! Now, I live in Edmonton with my wonderful fiance and 4 fur-babies. We love spending our time researching new yummy healthy meals and finding new fun activities to do in the city and surrounding area!

I have always enjoyed incorporating health and fitness into my everyday life. Whether it be through working out or finding new healthy recipes to force my family to try, I'm there! Being able to form relationships with the awesome members here at Movimento and watch them grow is absolutely amazing. I am currently studying at the University of Alberta in hopes of being accepted into their Bachelor of Commerce program for Fall 2017. Travelling is also such an important aspect of my life, I love being able to broaden my horizons and discover what the rest of the world has to offer.

I’ve always tried my best to live an active lifestyle! Growing up my family did a lot of camping, and spent lots of time out on the lake! I really enjoy water sports such as wake surfing, knee boarding and of course tubing! I’m very passionate about traveling and plan on experiencing and exploring different countries in the world! I find it encouraging working in such a positive workplace where I get the opportunity to meet such wonderful people and support them on their fitness journey! It’s truly inspiring!
